Curricula and products, together

Draw the shape. Then build it.

In a Let's Draw by Emma lesson on shapes, children draw triangles, squares and circles and combine them into pictures. With Magic Board on the table, the same shapes become magnetic pieces they can hold, rotate and snap together before drawing what they built.

Products are sold separately and are not included with curriculum adoption. Each can be used on its own.

Teaching approach

Look. Try. Make. Share.

Emma introduces each lesson in the student book, so the teacher is not expected to be an artist. Children look closely at something, try the technique, make their own piece and talk about it. Work stays in the book, so progress is visible across the year.

A typical session

  1. 01Look — Emma shows the lesson's subject; the class notices shapes and lines together.
  2. 02Try — a guided warm-up on the page.
  3. 03Make — each child draws their own version.
  4. 04Share — a short look at each other's work.

Annotation: session length and structure to be confirmed against the teacher guide.

Questions schools ask

Do we need a specialist art teacher?
No. Lessons are written so a classroom teacher can lead them with the student book.
Can we start with only some grades?
Yes. Each level stands on its own while fitting the full KG3–Grade 6 sequence.
Is Magic Board included?
No. Products are sold separately and used alongside the curriculum if a school chooses.
How do we see a sample?
Request one below. We'll send material for the grades you teach.

About Brks Education

Raising creators, not consumers.

Why we exist

Children are surrounded by things to consume. We publish things to make. Brks Education creates curricula and educational products that put a pencil, a shape or a problem in a child's hands and ask: what will you do with it?

What we believe

Creativity is not optional. It is foundational. Creative work needs structure — a sequence, a next step, a way to see progress. Our programmes bring both together so that creativity can be taught, year after year.

Creativity, learning, making

Making is how children learn best: drawing to see, building to understand. Everything we publish ends with something the child has made themselves.
